Bertha Worley

Ann Worley, 88, passed away on August 7, 2022 in her home.

A native of Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert (Bob) and Catherine (Kay) Burgin.  She is survived by her brother Gary (Sam); children Debra, Mike (Carolyn), and Glenda (Mark); grandchildren Jennifer, Tyler, and Micah; and great-grandchildren Katherine, Landon, and Violet.

Ann had a variety of jobs over the years, which included banking, tax preparation, and retail sales. She loved to garden, was a detailed and accomplished seamstress, and an avid reader. Mostly, Ann delighted in spending time with children for whom she always had lollipops and popsicles.

The family would like to thank her caregivers from Four Seasons Hospice. From volunteers who visited her to the nurses and doctors who treated her, you were all wonderful and she loved you dearly.

A private celebration of life by the family is planned for a later date.
