Claude Arthur Moore, age 86 of Franklin, passed away of natural causes on January 20, 2025,
at his home surrounded by family. He was born in the Rose Creek Community on August 5,
1938, to the late Arthur Wilburn Moore and the late Gertrude Beulah Welch Moore. He was a Jehovah's Witness by faith. He was also a talented master carpenter, and many are the recipients of his work, including his children who received bookshelves, bedroom sets, and cradles, his ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who received wooden puzzles, keepsake boxes, and cars made by their papa. He was a beacon of strength, kindness and wisdom to his family. We are comforted by the countless memories he leaves behind that will forever leave a smile on our faces. He was married to his beloved wife Myrna Sheets Moore for 62 years and they raised their four children together through the good times and the bad. He loved to hunt, with a bow, with a muzzleloader and a rifle and once shot two deer standing next to each other with his bow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Gertrude Moore, his brothers, Carnell and Arland Moore, his sisters Barbara Lavonia Carnes and Naomi Holt. He is survived by his wife, Myrna, brother, Carroll Moore, sisters, Juanita Corbin, Lois Parrish, Jean Ledbetter, and Pat Grant. He is also survived by his children, Carnell Moore (Jamie), Denise Moore Naylor (Joe), Tracy Wiggins (Randy), and Emily Lathrop (Mark), his grandchildren, Brandy Padgett, Betina Perry, Randy Moore, Tanner Moore, Raygan Houston, Kelsey Houston, Grace Wiggins, Keith Wiggins, Claudia Monroy, John Gordon, and Ian Gordon. Great Grandchildren, David, Ahna, and Natalie Rubio, Brax and Tucker Padgett, Zoe, Averie, and Fox Moore, Giulianna McGoff, Eli Paquette, and Freyja Cooper.
