David DeWayne Henline

Candler, NC- David DeWayne Henline, 62, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center of Asheville.

A native of Haywood County, David was the son of Corena Phillips Henline and the late Fred Lee Henline.

He is survived by his son, Dustin Michael Lee Henline of Pickens, SC; his mother, Corena Henline; sister, Diane Hove (Anita); and brothers Eddie Henline (Renee) and Jeff Henline (Patti), all of Clyde. His is also survived by his lifelong special friend and mother of his son, Lisa Jenkins McClure of Pickens SC; his “brothers from another mother”, Randy and Todd Fugate; and his precious little dog Lola. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Church at 630 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville SC 29611 where David volunteered many years of service as a maintenance technician.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the nurses at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center, especially Fanny and Denna on third shift who were extraordinarily kind and gentle to David during his very brief stay.
