Edward Ray McCall, age 60, of

Brevard went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father Ray McCall. He is survived by Ruth Pressley Mother, Marenda Jones McCall: his wife of 33 years, AJ Sizemore and wife Rebecca of  Brevard, Ethan McCall of the home, Daughter, Melissa Ann McCall of Forest City, Brothers Michael, wife Wanda, Ricky, wife Marie, both of Brevard, Harley, wife Teresa of Ft Walton Beach, Fl, Sister Nancy Brittan and husband Bobby of Brevard, Grandsons Silas Sizemore,  Hunter and Stone Eubanks and Granddaughter Brooke Eubanks, and Carter Reese: who also called him Papaw, Special Sister in Laws Martha Baynard, Thelma Galloway, along with a large number of nieces and nephews. He loved to work. He started at age 13 at Charlie's Tire, to help support his brothers/ Wick Haynes of Haynes Construction who treated him as a son, Edward said Wick was the father figure he never had; as his died at age 10/ Moody Connolly Funeral Home, where he met his wife, Marenda. Robert Chappell/ Rogers Masonry, where he loved working with Mike and the boys (as fellow employees, nephews and his comedy team who made him laugh and look forward to the next day.) He was a quiet, peaceful man with many talents. He loved the outdoors and when he was home you could find him working in the yard or sitting on the porch enjoying the view of his life's work. He was always willing to help anyone. All you had to do was ask. His hobbies included: hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.

The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Glady Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Michael J. Rogers, Rev. Isaac K. Rogers and Rev. Wes Parker officiating. The family received friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Glady Branch Baptist Church
