Elbert Crowder

Elbert Crowder, 73, of Burnsville, NC, passed away at Mission Healthcare of Asheville, Tuesday, May 28, 2019.  Elbert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elva Buchanan Crowder.  His two sons: Gabe Crowder of Blountville, TN, and Elbert Crowder, Jr. and Carol of Greeneville, TN; and his daughter, Mary Jo Renfro and Norman of Burnsville, NC.

Three granddaughters:  Sergeant Erica Crowder, of Hurlburt Field AFB, FL; and Mary and Samantha Crowder of Greenville, TN.

Four Grandsons:  Specialist Kristopher Crowder and wife Brianne, of Ft. Sill, OK; Jacob Crowder, of Unicoi, TN; and Cody and Jonathan Renfro, of Burnsville, NC.

Six Great Grandchildren:  Kenna, Toby, Alice, and Olivia Crowder, of Ft. Sill, OK.

Lane and Aaron Renfro, of Burnsville, NC.

Also surviving are sisters:  Louise Issacs of Burnsville, NC; Barbara and husband Kermit Honeycutt, of Burnsville, NC; Dottie and husband Charles Boone of Hickory, NC; and brothers:  Joe Crowder and wife Pat of Marion, NC; and Keister Crowder and wife Geneva of Murphy, NC.

Elbert was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 9 brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
