Helen Mary Morris Reed

Helen Mary Morris Reed, 77, of Sylva passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.  A native of Neptune, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Luke Morris, III and Helen Charlotte Harding Morris.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Luke Morris, IV and her fur babies, Fanta, Gypsy and Chloe.

Helen loved the sunshine and the warmth it provided.  She relocated to Palm Harbor, Florida and spent many years there.  She worked as a dental hygienist before settling into a career in the medical field as a phlebotomist. Following retirement, she moved to the mountains of North Carolina to be near her sister, Ida.

She is survived by her sister, Ida Morris Jenkins of Sylva; niece and nephews, Rhobby Jenkins and his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Kaelyn of Palm Harbor, FL, Julie Jenkins Randolph and her son, Harvey Randolph of Whittier, Darrell Christopher Jenkins and his wife, Amanda of Sylva, Luke Morris, Sean Morris and Stanley Morris V, sister-in-law, Rosemary Morris and her son Christopher Horyschuk.
