Howard Smith

Howard Daniel Smith, 78, of Black Mountain went to be with the Lord Friday, November 4th at home.

Howard was born April 8th, 1944, to Fred and Louise Smith. He was a long-time employee of Highland Farms and retired from there after 20 + years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Arlene, and Charlotte: brothers, Lester, David, Donald, and Burton.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Wyonell Smith; daughter Teresa Decerbo of Black Mountain; son Timothy Smith and wife Misty of Old Fort; son Dwayne Smith and Mary of Swannanoa; daughter Wanda Blankenship of Swannanoa; sisters Mary Ellen, Nellie, Linda, and Freida

In addition to his children, he is survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many cousins

There will be no services to be held at this time.

His care has been entrusted in A Simple Cremation
