Janet Sue Gilliland

August 8, 1946- April 27, 2023

Fairview- Janet Gilliland, 77, passed peacefully in her home under hospice care. She is survived by her son Steve and wife, Kim, her son Britton and wife, Lisa, her son Brain and wife, Rachel, and daughter Stephanie Owen. She also has a brother Jim Weishaar, wife Sandy and their two daughters Kim and Amy.

Janet was proceeded in death by her husband Tim Gilliland and her daughter Elizabeth.

Janet has been a resident of Fairview for over 50 years and has had a various retail jobs that have brought her a lot of friendships over the years. The family deeply appreciates all the prayer and personal support these friends have given her during her cancer journey. God bless you all!

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There are no scheduled services or memorial. The family would love to see a memory shared on the tribute wall or a signature on the condolence book. In lieu of flowers to be made to The Messino Cancer Clinic of Asheville.

She will be greatly missed.
