Lois Ann Ericson Tennant, 73, of Flat Rock fell asleep in Jesus on Wednesday, July 04, 2018. She was born in New York City to the late Arthur and Isabelle Ruth Hawkins Ericson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Tennant.
She is survived by her brother, Edward Ericson and wife Kim, three nieces: Tara Boaz with husband Josh and son Bennett, Tasha Robinson with husband Tim and children Caden and Kinley, Talia White with husband Adam and son Eilam; Brother-in-law Tim Asher; cousins, Edward Martinsen with wife Libby of Princeton, NJ and John Martinsen with wife Linda and children, Julie, Bryan, and Tom of Corvallis, OR.
Lost my only sibling to death’s icy grip on a national holiday celebrating freedom. And despite the loss, we, her family and friends have a reason to celebrate. This is so because we know what Isaiah 57:1 says “The righteous perisheth and no man layeth it to his heart: and merciful (wo)men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.” She is asleep now in Jesus, free now from the heartache of these times, awaiting Our Savior’s call at the Resurrection. Verse 2 continues by saying “He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his (her) uprightness.”
Truly our deeds follow us after we are gone. My sister’s uprightness is now being made known to us through the testimonies of others. The many roles she has stepped up and into to be a blessing to someone else is now being heard. She truly reflected the image of Our Father in heaven. As such it can be said in her case, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15. Please secure your destiny as she did so we can all meet again together.
