Asheville- Lowell James Williams, 53, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at John F. Keever Solace Center after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Candler, James was the son of the late Lowell Williams and Carolyn Murray Williams. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by a sister, Linda Williams Murphy; fiance, Janet Matheson Ellington; two daughters, Samantha Williams and Shana Williams; a son, Dakota Williams; four grandsons, Cole, Levi, Jordan, and Asa; and many much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at State Street Missionary Baptist Church in West Asheville, with Pastor Terry Sprouse officiating.
