Lulla Mills

Lulla Shook Mills, 75, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Mountain View Manor in Bryson City, NC.

She was a longtime member of Cullowhee Baptist Church. She enjoyed rummaging through flea markets, listening to old bluegrass music, and watching old Westerns. Lulla loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was a strong woman who made sure everyone else was taken care of before herself. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Mills; her parents, Jim and Christina Middleton Shook; and one brother, Bob Shook.

Lulla is survived by her daughters, Gloria Kincer (Scott) and Kathy Zuniga (Walter), all of Bryson City; her granddaughters, Amber Jamison (Tristan) of Franklin, Ivy Zuniga and Luna Zuniga of Bryson City; and her brothers, Woodrow Shook (Pat) and Roy Shook (Inez), all of Sylva.

A Celebration of Life for Lulla will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Cullowhee Baptist Church with Rev. Tonya Vickery officiating.
