Philip Connell

Philip Winburn Connell, 72, passed away from natural causes at his home in Asheville on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

Philip graduated from St. Andrews High School in South Carolina. He joined the Navy, having served as an electronic technician sometime between 1965-1969, and was honorably discharged. He worked at the Navy Base in Charleston, SC, then moved on to become a successful insurance agent throughout the United States. Philip settled down for the past 20+ years in Asheville, NC, and became the Broker/Owner of Connell Insurance Agency, Inc.

He is survived by one daughter, Christy Cawley Rasp of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sisters, Sherry Connell Mollenhauer (John) of Easley, SC and Patricia Connell Chrysler (Bruce) of Pickens, SC; and two nieces, April Faulkner and Jennifer Bogart.
